♦️What is Automation?

If a developer has to repeat a job more than once, then instead of coding the same thing or doing the same process multiple times, they make a small piece of software or a bot that does the job for them. That’s Automation.

📌What is Ansible?

Ansible is an open-source automation tool, or platform, used for IT tasks such as configuration management, application deployment, intra service orchestration, and provisioning. Automation is crucial these days, with IT environments that are too complex and often need to scale too quickly for system administrators and developers to keep up if they had to do everything manually.

📌Why Ansible?

Ansible is an Agentless tool that means we don’t need to install it on the managed node just installed on the controller node and start working with ansible. Ansible is a very intelligent tool and its intelligence comes from modules. …

◆WHAT IS PARTITIONING OF HARD DISK?

It is the concept in which a given hard disk is divided into segments of secondary storage, so that each segment is managed separately. This is also done with a view that if damage is caused to one segment, like in cases of complete deletion of data, the damage is not transferred to the entire disk. It rather remains confined to that particular segment.

STATIC OR FIXED PARTITION

In this kind, the number of partitions in RAM are fixed , but the size of each partition may be same or may not be so. Click here to learn more about it.

◆MAJOR STEPS INVOLVED IN CREATING A PARTITION

Three major steps…

✨Task Description —

7.1: Elasticity Task

◆Integrating LVM with Hadoop and providing Elasticity to DataNode Storage

◆Increase or Decrease the Size of Static Partition in Linux

In this blog, I am going to discuss how we can integrate LVM with Hadoop to provide elasticity to the Data node storage. Let me first explain about the task which Im going to perform.

For this task, there are some prerequisites

✍Task Description : In this task, we have to make the data node storage elastic so that whenever we required to change the size of data node storage we can achieve it without shutting down…

✍What is Docker ?

Docker is an open platform for developing, shipping, and running applications. Docker enables you to separate your applications from your infrastructure so you can deliver software quickly. With Docker, you can manage your infrastructure in the same ways you manage your applications. By taking advantage of Docker’s methodologies for shipping, testing, and deploying code quickly, you can significantly reduce the delay between writing code and running it in production.
